The Spanish Moss Trail is a rails-to-trails greenway project that follows the route of the historic Magnolia Rail Line.  When it is completed, the 13.6 route will connect Port Royal to the Whale Branch Pier in Beaufort County, SC. HWE has developed and designed 14 waysides that explore historic locations along the greenway. The bright and fun design scheme encourages walkers and bikers to look closer and learn about where they are. The outdoor panels are mounted on custom posts made from old Magnolia Rail Line rails. Our efforts represent two phases of an on-going project to develop fifty interpretive signs along the greenway.
